Meet the Artist: Alexius Lovett-Evers
Born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Alexius Evers found her home on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, where she has embraced both family and artistry. Now residing in Biloxi, MS, she is a devoted wife to Kianté Evers and a mother to three incredible children—Faith, Zédan, and Journey.
As an artist, Alexius captures the world as she sees it—full of beauty, depth, and untold stories. Over the past few years, she has fully embraced her artistic vision, creating pieces that reflect emotion, identity, and the essence of those who cross her path. Through her work, she has established a studio that serves as a creative sanctuary, where art becomes a bridge between perspectives, inviting others to find beauty in every stroke.
Much of her work is centered on Black identity and culture, a reflection of her own journey in recognizing beauty and power beyond the world’s imposed standards. She intimately understands what it means to feel the weight of those expectations—and to rise above them.
With a dedication to sharing her talents, passions, and inspirations, Alexius specializes in portraits, skillfully working with charcoal, soft and oil pastels, and acrylics to bring each piece to life with striking emotion and technical precision. Whether on canvas or large-scale murals, her work captivates, encourages, and inspires—adding color not just to walls, but to the hearts of those who experience it.
